Film treatment / working direction

The story beginswith a guide.

Not a film about taking something from the wild. A film about knowledge, encounter and the freedom to return.

Creative intention

Make knowledge felt before it is explained.

We see how a guide reads colour, current, wind and shadow. The experience grows in intensity, then resolves in a quiet, unmistakable gesture: open hands and a living fish moving away.

The Governor and partners can widen the story by connecting two worlds: intimate, local knowledge of the flats and wider ambitions around science, sustainable opportunity and the future of the islands. The form of that involvement can grow from this shared space; the guides remain at the emotional centre.

The central film

The guide enters first.

Belonging

We begin with the person who knows the flats as a living place: memory, family, weather and a route through the water.

A family of films

One human centre. Different ways into the story.

The central guide film creates emotion. Shorter companion pieces make the programme useful in meetings, partnerships, social channels and future recruitment.
